@protoje - I&I (Official Music Video) #rootsreggae #reggae
The 'I&I' video features the likes of Kabaka Pyramid, No-Maddz, Jesse Royal, Hempress Sativa, Jah9, Chronixx plus members of Zincfence, Pentateuch and Raging Fyah along with other familiar faces. Members of Protoje's band, The Indiggnation, are also prominent in various scenes.
What made the whole ordeal special was that it was more than just a mere music video shoot. According to author Dutty Bookman, who assisted with organizing the march, it was revolutionary action.
"The music video was more like a smokescreen," Bookman recalled. "We handed out some thought-provoking leaflets with inspiring words from Haile Selassie I, Marcus Garvey and Walter Rodney. I could see that drivers and pedestrians really appreciated the information they were receiving."

@Mic_El from NYC #producer #artist
In this day and age, computers seem to rule the world. They make it easy for anyone to call themselves a “producer,” taking away from the real musicians that are still around.Mic El is the epitome of everything the word “producer” stands for. Having studied music theory and percussion as a child, Mic El has been exposed to the Hip-Hop culture since birth. The Bronx native embodies what Hip-Hop is all about: raw talent, originality, and unadulterated creativity. With various Hip-Hop influences, such as Pete Rock, J Dilla, KRS-One, Just Blaze, Rakim, and Nas.
Mic El has worked with up-and-coming musicians alike: Produced 2 songs for Collette's "Juneteenth Revolution" album, "Touch" featuring Grammy Nominated singer/songwriter Eric Roberson and "Can't you see" on released Dec. 2012. Featured on Jarrard Anthony's "Ready to Live" album released June 2012, produced “World Wind” for Chris Classic (whose soundtracks can be heard in such films as “Alvin and the Chipmunks” and “Speed Racer,” produced for Erika David, produced and performed with Mika (Confirmations), amongst others. Mic El’s production skills have earned him international acknowledgment: from New York to Los Angeles, France and Spain to Australia. With the raw talent that he possesses, he is sure to be more than just a fly-by-night superstar.
This entrepreneur/producer/songwriter has made a name for himself, leaving a lasting impression on his listeners with his soulful grooves. Making “Soulfully Cinematic” music is similar to fatherhood for Mic El; “I will always be making music because I love it. I like the art and process of creating.” Simply put, his musical journey continues to rise. Be prepared for a listening experience that will last you a lifetime. If the buzz hasn’t reached you yet, start counting down because you will soon recognize the magnitude of talent he has to offer.
Currently working on two more eps to be released. 1 in the spring and 1 in the fall. Title T.B.A.! Stay tuned...

Lovill Artist Biography #uk #singer @Lovill
Multi talented young woman who lives to incorporate everything she has learnt about music to her success.
With her catchy chorus lines and husky vibrato tone, that shines within Lovills eclectic music taste evidently making her stand out.
Lovill works with many producers, to create an inimitable and distinct style that is combined with her adoration of different musical genres.
From Electronics, Funky house, R&B, reggae and Hip Hop Lovill sets a versatile bar for other singer songwriters to follow.
Her debut was a funky house single released independently in 2010 entitled “C It In Ur Eyes”.
This track was in cased with melody that exploded as Lovill let loose not only her divergent vocal ability but also her penchant for song writing.
This again was evident in other tracks such as “Inspiration & Honey 2 a Bee” both stem from her first album independently released May 2011 entitled Window 2 My World.
In December 2011 Lovill released her first video “Diamond Road” and upon receiving her first magazine review in January 2012, she decided to take a break to find herself, It was during this time that she found her path and decided to halt recording her second album.
Instead Lovill diverted all her attentions on another passion, thus she began setting up her own business that focused on delivering Music and Drama workshops for hard to reach young people, who are featured in her first video.
Lovill states that her life experiences have lead her to believe, “That every young person is special and all young people should have the opportunity to develop their skills and to achieve their full potential”.
By summer 2012 she was back to her musical best performing at Luton Love Festival, and Carnival. By December 2012 she started rerecording the second album, which is due to be released in May 2013.
The week before Valentines Day 2013, Lovill started promoting three songs from her second Album; “Nicest Human Being I know, Lookin 4Luv & A Part”.
This was in a bid to find out which track held the most attention from the audience, so she could begin storyboarding a video for spring 2013.
Lovill claims that her highest achievement to date, is managing to get the highest mark across the board for song writing, at the prestigious Tech singing school. It was during this time that she learnt the theory behind Music and after nine months understood it.
Lovill carries a great affection of soft low notes that are filled with the hums of exceptional vibrato style. She is unafraid to take musical risks and cannot help but take her music to a soul hip-hop level for her next album, which Lovill insists will take your soul, spirit and heart to a novel level.
This young woman strives to assimilate everything she has learnt and loves about music into an admirable second entrance into the Global Music World.
Now Lovill knows who she is and what she wants for the future.
